Halle has its own airport which is approx. 15 minutes by train from Halle main station. Also cheap transfer from the airport to any place in town is available which can even be shared in terms of vehicle and costs (40 Euro for one trip). Halle Airport has several connecting flights from Munich and Frankfurt each day. Also Berlin Airport is only one hour by train away from Halle. From Frankfurt also fast trains to Halle are available.

Halle is easily reached by train. Halle main station has connections by public transport to reach any part of town within 20 minutes. Also taxis are not too expensive (10 – 15 Euro).

The welcome reception and registration will take place at the Aula (Auditorium) of Halle University in the so called Löwengebäude (Address: Universitätsplatz 11, 06108 Halle/Saale).
An easy way to get there is by tram to the station ‚Moritzburgring‘.

The conference will be held at the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina (Address: Jägerberg 1, 06108 Halle/Saale).
An easy way to get there is by the same tram station ‚Moritzburgring‘ as above.

The excursion on August 15 starts with a boat trip on the river Saale with the MS-Händel II. (Address: Riveufer 5, 06114 Halle/Saale).
People should be at the landing at 4.15 pm, the trip starts at 4.30 pm.
The landing stage can be reached from the stop ‚Burg Giebichenstein‘ of the tram #7 or #8.
